Creepy Creative Costume Design Challenge | 11:15 am
Contestants will receive a standard bagged themed costume and have 30 minutes to make as many alterations and enhancements from their bag of tricks. Anything goes, as contestants will fight the clock to produce the most creative and entertaining ensemble! Register to participate HERE!

New for 2022 ! This workshop is limited to just 20 students, so be sure to sign your kids up on site!

You’re never too young to learn how to be spooky! In this workshop, veteran actor trainer and former elementary school teacher, Japes Palles, will host fun games and activities that will introduce elementary aged kids to the fundamentals of haunt acting. This engaging class will have kids moving and developing scare tactics that really work. Provide an additional level of interaction and scares at your home haunt by giving your kids the skills to make your neighbors pee their pants. Or, start prepping your kids for a future in pro haunts.

To get the kiddos into “Monster Mode,” kids can wear their own costumes / makeup or get their makeup done by one of our professional makeup artists. Immediately following the workshop, students will be putting their newly developed skills to the test in the Chicago Haunt Builders’ walk-through display. Japes will place the kids in their rooms and coach them on their spot. Then we’ll open the doors for moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, and anyone else who is brave enough to walk through. Will you make it to the end or will the kids scare you silly?

The Great Haunted Relay Race | 12:15 pm
New for 2022! Cheer on teams composed of members from Chicagoland haunted attractions as they race through ridiculous challenges and overcome unseen obstacles in an attempt to be first over the finish line!

Frightful Family Feud | 1:15 pm
The feud is on! Based on the popular TV game show, root for your favorite haunted attraction family as they bring a battle of wits and knowledge to the stage for our entertainment!

Distortions Monster Rock Speed Painting Demonstration | 2:15 pm
Join Distortions Unlimited’s Ed Edmunds as he attempts to paint 20 masks in 10 minutes to the loud rock countdown. Performance masks will be given away to those who catch balls thrown out during the show. Loud music and free monsters… you can’t beat that!!

Screamin’ Hot Sauce Challenge | 3:15 pm
Come support your favorite personnel from haunted attractions throughout the Midwest compete to see who can survive some of the hottest sauce from planet Earth, and the underworld!
