Getting Started in the Haunt Industry – Afternoon Session

Interested in starting your own professional haunt? Then this is the class to attend! Throughout the class you will hear the story of FORSAKEN , a brand new haunted attraction for the 2011 season, built in Mentor, Ohio. From concept to the closing cast party, we will tell it all. Some of the topics we will cover will be: Owning or Renting your space, dealing with a city & permits, marketing, cast management, design & storylines, general operations. We will also be giving insider tips based on what we learned in our first year as haunt owners, and what we have learned over the past 16 years of working them.

Katie Johnston – Cast Manager/Head Make-up Artist
John Eslich – Owner (Forsaken/Factory of Terror)

Together they have been working in the haunted attraction industry for the past 16 years, and last year successfully opened up their own attraction in Mentor, Ohio.
