2004 Show Review

Now that we have had time to rest and relax, the organizers would like to take this opportunity to thank the many individuals that made this event the success that it was.

We would first like to, once again, thank our sponsors:  Costume Specialists, Panic Box Spookhouse, Skeleton Coast, Scarefactory, and Hauntworld.  These special people have been with us since the beginning.

A huge Thank You needs to be given to Terror Park and the Columbus Clippers for the facility and all of their help throughout the weekend.

The MHC weekend would not have happened if it weren’t for the large amount of volunteer help provided by Feature Creatures of Central Ohio.  We, and the vendors, appreciated all of their help throughout the event.

The wonderful Friday evening receptions were graciously provided Dead Acres and Costume Specialists.  Thank you to Tim and Cheryl May for their hospitality in opening their nearly completed haunt.  Having a few hundred haunters critique your show has to be the toughest thing to endure.  Many of our guests also took advantage of Wendy Goldstein’s special after-hours sale at Costume Specialists.  The discount combined with the snacks and drinks was a wonderful combination!

Our Saturday night event was hosted by Long Street Live.  Thanks go out to owner Chris Corso and manager Brian ???? for the great facility.

Our appreciation for Chuck Williams and Crazy Bob Turner cannot not be overstated.  They both lent their unique flair to the weekend.

Finally, I am always amazed by the generosity of those in the industry.  We had some great prize packages to hands out to the winners of our contests:

Ghostride Productions – thanks to Michael for going above and beyond by overnighting his donations of the Haunt Awards so that we would have them in time.

Bloody Mary – Bobbie was our first prize donor a big supporter throughout

Monster Makers – Arnold donated supplies for our makeup Wars as well as an admission to one of his seminars.

Creative Visions – Thanks Dan and Mark for attending, speaking, and donating.

Frightsearch.com – Thanks to Tim for his donations that were given out before Monster Makeup wars.
